Where I started
I grew up in Amman, Jordan, and finished high school at the International Independent School there with high honours. Arabic is my first language and English is the one I work in. After school I moved to Winnipeg, Canada, to study at the University of Manitoba, where I completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
University was also where I first took on responsibility for other people. I spent three years on the executive of the university's Student Energy chapter, as VP External, VP Finance and VP Administration in turn. We ran public sustainability events across Winnipeg, and I worked on the Solar Heated Growth Chamber Project with the Sustainability in Action Facility and UMEarth.
Running a business
Since 2019 I have been a director at Benkam Inc., which operates a 24-hour 204 Fuels gas station and convenience store in Winnipeg. It is a small business in the most hands-on sense. I have handled the staffing, the fuel deliveries, the budgets, the vendors, and the compliance work that comes with storing and selling fuel in Manitoba.
From 2022 to 2024 I also worked as a ramp supervisor for WestJet operations at Winnipeg International Airport, leading crews through aircraft turnarounds on tight schedules. Doing both at once taught me more about planning, delegation and staying calm than any course could have.
Why AI
I started DLVRAI in Dubai at the end of 2024 because I had spent years doing, by hand, the kind of work that AI can now take on: scheduling, answering the same customer questions, keeping records straight, chasing invoices. Most small and mid-sized businesses are still doing that work by hand too, and they do not have the time or the team to change it themselves.
DLVRAI builds and runs those tools for them. That covers automating admin work, AI agents that handle customer conversations by chat or voice, and getting better use out of the data a business already has. We partner with CNTXT, a UAE-based sovereign AI company, for the infrastructure behind it. I am based at the DMCC Business Centre in Dubai and still involved in Benkam Inc. in Winnipeg.
The name
Friends and family have called me The Pope for years. The nickname stuck, so when I needed a domain for this site it was the obvious choice. My Instagram is @popenospot for the same reason.
Outside work
Soccer, the gym, and a shelf of Lego that keeps growing. There is more on the hobbies page.
